How Pro+ works

What happens after you tap Send: what your client sees, which emails go out, and what you need. Every email below is the real text, with sample names.

Getting paid by card or bank

1. Turn it on once. In Chambaly: Settings → Turn on card payments. Stripe asks for your ID, your SSN or ITIN (no EIN needed) and your bank account, on its own secure pages. Chambaly never sees them.
2. Wait for Stripe. The screen shows where you are: Almost there (Stripe needs something), Stripe is reviewing (nothing to do), or You're set. You get an email when it's ready. If you stop halfway, we send you a reminder a day later and one more a few days after.
3. Send invoices as usual. Every invoice now has a Pay button. Your client pays by card or from their bank. No app, no account.
4. It marks itself paid. You get an email, and the invoice shows as paid on every device.

Fees come out of each payment. Your first payout takes 7 to 14 days; after that it's faster. Bank payments take a few business days to confirm, and the invoice shows "bank payment in progress" meanwhile. Your payouts, refunds and any disputes are in your own Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com.

Deposits and payment plans

When your client accepts an estimate that asks for a deposit, they can pay it right there. When you turn the estimate into an invoice, the deposit is already subtracted and your client only sees the balance.

For big jobs, pick a plan in More options: 50/50, 30/40/30 or 50/40/10. Payment 1 is the deposit. When you reach the next stage, tap Bill payment 2 and Chambaly makes that invoice. The payments always add up to the exact total.

Reminders to your clients

When an invoice is late, Chambaly emails your client for you, from your business name. Their replies go to your email.

• Checked once a day, in the morning (Central time).
• Only invoices you've sent, with a due date, not paid yet, for a client with an email.
• Always starts friendly, never sends the same one twice, and waits at least 5 days between emails.
• Stops the moment the invoice is paid.
• Every reminder that went out is listed on the invoice.
• Turn it off for everyone in Settings, or for one invoice with the switch on that invoice.
